Other Systems was inspired by NASA's Kepler mission (the search for other Earth-like Planets) and the idea that once humans colonize another planets that we will change into something else. The Light Side of the Moon was inspired by the idea of new beginnings and the first steps for humanity. Colonizing the Moon could lead to the colonization of Mars, which could lead to us leaving the solar system.

Elizabeth currently lives in Seattle with her husband and two dogs. When she is not writing and illustrating, she is an avid outdoors woman who enjoys hiking and birdwatching.
